The most common question we get is, Why don't you charge a fee?

Glass Bottom Boat Tours Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non profit charity that accepts tax deductible donations.

Our primary focus is to provide free glass bottom boat rides for everyone - especially the underprivileged.

Anyone can donate as much as they want but we will never ask you to do so.

We are not running a business here, we're just bringing friends along on our river adventures.

We have friends from all over the world.

The 3 Types of Trips

Public Trips - When we email everyone on our contact list about trip availability. These trips are to raise awareness and promote donations. We email everyone who has completed the contact form 4 to 6 weeks out. These trips usually fill up in a few days. Don't fill in the contact form expecting to go for a boat ride this afternoon or this weekend- it's very unlikely that we'll be able to accommodate you.

Underprivileged Trips - These trips are for the underprivileged and are privately arranged between the organization representative (VFW, Church, Scout Troop, etc.) and our Director.

Sponsor and Benefactor Trips - These are trips requested by sponsors for benefactors or others specified by the sponsor. They are privately arranged between the sponsor representative and our Director.

How long is the trip?

It takes about 3.5 hours to see the entire river.

We usually stop for swim-call and lunch

(which is on us - Oh yes. The Free Lunch is real too).

The trip can be as long or short as you wish.

How many people can we take?

We set a limit of 8 friends.

What should I bring?

Bring a camera, for sure.

We would appreciate it if illegal items

are not on-board.

The boat is shaded and we always have

plenty of towels.

You may get wet, so dress appropriately.

Kids and Lifejackets

Florida law requires all children younger than 6 to

wear PFDs at all times while on board boats.

There is no way we can have all possible sizes of PFDs

available so please bring PFDs for your own kids.

They are cheaper than the fine!
